In a tight game between the Eindhoven Electric and the Fayetteville Braggarts, pitcher Peter Roberts was terrific on the mound. The Eindhoven left-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. Karel Rietkerk collected his 41st save. At 67-68, Eindhoven is in third place in the Appalachian Mountain League Europe and Islands.
The Braggarts had trouble solving Roberts, who surrendered no runs on 5 hits over 6.2 innings.
"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Roberts, "but we really needed that win."
