The Clifton Dons had to overcome a fine effort from Jefferson County pitcher Don Lewis to win, 1-0, at Clifton Stadium. Lewis went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs. The win went to Tekle-Mariam Louahla in relief, making him now 3-3. Scott Lane took the loss for Jefferson County. Clifton is now 55-81. Jefferson County is 59-77.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Clifton. That's when Hui Thean, who is tied for 6th in the AML with a .299 batting average, hit a solo home run off Scott Lane to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Thean.
