Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Braggarts beat the El Dorados.
No one was more impactful than Jonathan Hill in the 5-2 Fayetteville win over Raleigh. Hill hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Fayetteville reliever Toshimichi Otsuka got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Zachary Walker was tagged with the loss.
With Fayetteville leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Hill batted against Raleigh pitcher Ángel Mejas. Hill hit a splitter to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Braggarts on top, 4-1.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Hill, "one at-bat at a time."
Fayetteville is now 74-59, Raleigh 75-58.
