Soggy conditions did not keep Aberdeen and Evansville from playing their scheduled game.

Alan O'Toole led Aberdeen to a win over Evansville. The final score was 8-0. O'Toole collected 2 runs batted in, while going 2 for 5 at the plate. The right fielder also scored 2 times. Aberdeen reliever Omer Schaar picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Barney Stone was tagged with the loss.

Jesús Sánchez had a big 3-run home run for the Golden Sands in the bottom of the first inning. With Aberdeen leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a curveball from 36-year old right-handed pitcher Barney Stone and punished it. The result was his 11th home run of the season, which put the Golden Sands on top, 4-0.

"I hope we get a nice reward for this win," said O'Toole. "Like maybe a lighter workout schedule."

The last-place Tri-Staters dropped to 54-72.
