Ambers Deal Leeds 1-0 Defeat

Akron pitcher Ivano Gramsci did his part in helping his team defeat the Leeds Locomotives, 1-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The Ambers improved to 68-50.
The Ambers got a big at-bat from first baseman Akinori Jouda. For the game, Jouda was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Akron a 1-0 lead.
"We found a way to win tonight," Gramsci said.
