The Akron Ambers earned a close win over the Beantown Browns, thanks in part to Ivano Gramsci. The Akron left-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Powell Ruíz recorded the save, his 7th. Akron now sports a record of 61-47.

Making an impact for Akron was first baseman Sergio Blanco. Billy the Kid drilled a run-scoring triple off Mito Nishimura in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Blanco was 1-4 with a triple.
