Camaguey Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
Brandon Nichols, who is tied for 4th in the AML in wins with 10, was locked in. The right-hander led the Raleigh El Dorados to a 7-2 win against the Camaguey Tinajon at Tinajon Ballpark. Raleigh occupies third place in the Appalachian Mountain League East at 55-46.

Wilson Guerrero had a big 2-run home run for the El Dorados in the top of the third inning. With Raleigh leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Carlo Borsellino and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the El Dorados on top, 4-0.

"We've had a tough go of it," said Camaguey manager Brad Porter. "But we'll snap out of this funk."
