There was never a dull moment in an extra-length game between the Raleigh El Dorados and the Akron Ambers.
The Raleigh El Dorados snuck past the Akron Ambers, 3-2, in 13 innings. Raleigh pitcher Zachary Walker, in particular, had a standout performance. Ángel Mejas earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1.
Luis García had a direct impact on the outcome. García contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put Raleigh up, 3-2.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said El Dorados manager Ralph Gunther.
The El Dorados now own a record of 52-44.
