Tri-Staters Drop 4-1 Decision to Browns
|
The Beantown Browns went home winners at Beantown Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Jai-guo Nan. Nan stifled the Evansville Tri-Staters, enabling Beantown to grab the 4-1 win. Nan yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 8-3. The Browns lead the Appalachian Mountain League East by 6 games.
The Browns got a big at-bat from first baseman Sadaharu Okamura. For the game, Okamura was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Beantown a 2-0 lead.
