Anchormen Improve to 45-39 with 5-2 Win
The Eindhoven Electric got a sterling performance from pitcher Celio Miguis, but the Newport News Anchormen still prevailed, 5-2. Miguis threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Newport News reliever Eko Kartini picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Celio Miguis was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Newport News sits at 45-39, while Eindhoven falls to 40-44.

The Anchormen beat the Electric in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Galimberto Michelozzi produced in the bottom of the seventh. Batting against Shadi Ouakili, Michelozzi gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a run-scoring single.

Said losing manager Salvador González: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
