Ambers Earn 4-2 Road Win Over Jefferson County
|
Tony Romero pitched well, but his team, the Jefferson County Independence, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Akron Ambers at Ballpark of Jefferson County. The first-place Ambers are now 47-34, the Independence 37-44.
Akron used the timely hitting of Kyeong-eon Ch'oe to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ambers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Ch'oe told the Akron Today.
