Picot Excels in 11-5 Chesapeake Bay Win
The Chesapeake Bay Oysters topped the Newport News Anchormen by a score of 11-5. Leading the way was catcher Arnold Picot. Picot went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2 for the Oysters. Hidekazu Suzuki picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 6-4. The Oysters improved their record to 39-36 by beating Newport News.

Chesapeake Bay got a big at-bat from Bayamón, Puerto Rico native Fernando Elizondo, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Oysters ahead, 3-0.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Picot, "one at-bat at a time."
