The Akron Ambers converted a terrific effort from starter Raúl Gómez into a win over the Leeds Locomotives at Rhino Park. The Ambers won the game by a final score of 2-0. The winner was Gómez. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Dan O'Halloran. Joe Wheelock earned the save, his 1st.

Lorenzo Moreno, who is rated as the 68th best prospect by BNN, had a direct impact on the outcome. Moreno contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Akron up, 1-0.
