Golden Sands Outdo Tinajon in Extra Innings
|
Aberdeen Golden Sands starter Yvon Fortier pitched his team past the Camaguey Tinajon in 10 innings, 5-2. Aberdeen reliever Román Salinas picked up the win, raising his record to 4-5. Josuke Matsuda was tagged with the loss. The Golden Sands now own a record of 57-58.
Aberdeen got a knockout punch from Okura Kouki. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Camaguey manager Brad Porter.
