The Camaguey Tinajon beat the Newport News Anchormen, 4-2, at Tinajon Ballpark. Camaguey first baseman Zach Smith collected 2 singles and 2 doubles with 1 RBI. Puck Huysmans was the winner. He's now 4-4. The loser was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Shane Wallace. Getting the save was Josuke Matsuda, his 13th.

In the top of the ninth, Adam Barnes stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Anchormen were trailing 4-2, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Josuke Matsuda made a terrific pitch and Barnes flied out. Gone was the dream of a Newport News comeback.
