James Hancorn pitched a gem to lead Beantown to victory over the Akron Ambers, 1-0. At 35-29, Beantown is in third place in the Appalachian Mountain League East.

The Browns got a big at-bat from shortstop Ellis Thackwray. For the game, Thackwray went 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Beantown a 1-0 lead.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Ramón Rodríguez. "That was the problem."
