Akron got a strong outing from Lou Drewery as the Ambers defeated the Eindhoven Electric, 3-2, at Great Lakes Field. Katsuhiko Hashimoto, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

Yoshida Chikafuji had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Akron. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Akron in front, 3-1.

"Lou was pounding the zone," said Akron manager Ramón Rodríguez.

The Ambers move to 32-22 with the win, while the Electric drop to 27-27.
