Locomotives Come Back Late to Top Tinajon, 6-4
Leeds took on Camaguey in front of a lively crowd.

Camaguey got a decent performance from pitcher Wendell Carpenter, but it wasn't enough to beat the Leeds Locomotives. Leeds won the Tinajon Ballpark contest, 6-4. Carpenter threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The win was credited to 29-year old right-handed pitcher Dan Davidson in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Britt Puckett took the loss. Tom Watson recorded his 3rd save for Leeds.

Samuel Lapthorne came through with a big-time hit for Leeds. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Lapthorne.

Leeds bumps their record to 28-24 with the win.
