The Mansfield Mohicans downed the Clifton Dons, 2-0, at Clifton Stadium. Mansfield pitcher Xing-fu Zheng definitely brought his A-game. The loss makes Clifton 23-29.

Zheng, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 6 in 8 innings and gave up no runs.

Zheng, who is tied for 8th in the AML in strikeouts with 69, moves to 5-4 on the year with 69 strikeouts.
