Padilla Impressive in Scottish Win
The Scottish Claymores rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher René Padilla to a win, beating the West Virginia Alleghenies, 3-2, at The Castle. Isei Yano got credit for the save for Scottish. It was his 5th of the year. The Alleghenies fall to 5-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2042 season.

Padilla, now 2-2, scattered 4 hits over 8 innings for the Claymores.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Salvador González.
