The Fayetteville Braggarts beat the Raleigh El Dorados, 5-2, at Ballpark of Fayetteville. Fayetteville designated hitter John MacVurich had an outstanding performance. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. MacVurich, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk.
Mike Clifton hit a 2-run double off Jarrod Gerlach in the bottom of the third, which put the Braggarts in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Clifton had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
