Due in large part to center fielder Tony Barrón, the Newport News Anchormen sunk the Eindhoven Electric, 6-2. Barrón went 4 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Mark Stanford, the winner, is now 1-1. He struck out 6 and walked 2 over 8 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The 5th-place Anchormen go to 19-20.
