Hodge Lifts El Dorados to Win
Bob Hodge, who leads the AML in complete games with 3, had a strong outing for the Raleigh El Dorados against the Newport News Anchormen at Anchormen Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-1 win. With the win, Raleigh goes to 21-15, while the Anchormen fall to 16-20.

Hodge went the distance for Raleigh. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1.

"Bob was in control from the top," said Raleigh manager Ralph Gunther.
