Thean Delivers Walk-Off Win for Dons
The Clifton Dons knocked off the Leeds Locomotives, 5-4, in Appalachian Mountain League action at Clifton Stadium. Clifton pitcher and Perth, Scotland, native Rory Soutar had an outstanding performance. Pete Blaquiere, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. Clifton, now 17-19, holds down 4th place in the Appalachian Mountain League East.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Clifton left fielder Hui Thean, facing Salvador Fuentes, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dons the 5-4 win.

"The crowd was juiced," said Thean.
