Red Racers Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Golden Sands
The Aberdeen Golden Sands battled the Joplin Red Racers into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Golden Sands won it, finally, 5-4, in 10 innings. In the game, Aberdeen right fielder Cliff de Best went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Iemochi Matsuoka snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2 innings. He's now 4-1 on the season. Román Salinas wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.

Alfred McCutcheon was 1 for 3 with a walk against the Red Racers. With the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Aberdeen in front, 5-4.
