In the 7-6 Clifton win over Evansville, the impact of Hui Thean was substantial. Thean, who is tied for 2nd in the AML with a .410 on-base percentage, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Kaong Chao recorded the save, his 5th. The Dons now have a record of 15-19.

Thean contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Clifton in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Thean took a changeup from Wen-hua Shui and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Dons to leap in front, 4-2.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Thean, "but we got it done."
