Fayetteville pitcher Iván Canseco did his part in helping his team beat the Jefferson County Independence, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Braggarts saw their record improve to 17-12.
Harold Belafonte hit a 2-run triple off Abdallah Faure in the bottom of the third, which put the Braggarts in front, 3-2. Belafonte had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Canseco.
