Beantown Scrapes Out 7-4 Win
|
Beantown Browns left-hander Salvador Ramos pitched a good game against the Chesapeake Bay Oysters at Beantown Ballpark, leading his team to victory, 7-4. Ramos, now 3-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. George Farleigh, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Beantown took the lead, 5-4, on Sotan Sugano's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Chesapeake Bay pitcher Sergio Rivera in the bottom of the eighth.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Sugano told the Beantown Times.
The victory makes Beantown 9-7, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2042.
