Celio Miguis pitched a gem to lead Eindhoven to victory over the Akron Ambers, 2-1. Miguis, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Karel Rietkerk finished the game for Eindhoven and earned his 3rd save.

Eindhoven took the lead, 2-1, on Luis Huertas's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Akron pitcher Alonso Hernández in the bottom of the seventh.

"Celio pitched the ball pretty freaking great," said Eindhoven manager Salvador González.

Akron, with the loss, is still a hardy 7-2.
