Braggarts Hang 3-2 Loss on Golden Sands
The Fayetteville Braggarts trumped the Aberdeen Golden Sands, 3-2, at Ballpark of Fayetteville. Fayetteville designated hitter John MacVurich was terrific. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. MacVurich got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. After losing, Aberdeen is 3-4.

The Braggarts got a big at-bat from right fielder Pancho García. For the game, García went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Fayetteville a 3-1 lead.

Postgame, Braggarts manager Dave Nash complimented MacVurich. "No question about it. Splits was terrific."
