Chesapeake Bay and Eindhoven put this game in the books despite some rain.
Chesapeake Bay pitcher Haruki Matsui did his part in helping his team defeat the Eindhoven Electric, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. In 7 innings, Matsui surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run.
Félix Morán hit a 3-run home run off Peter Roberts in the bottom of the first, which put the Oysters ahead, 3-0. In addition to the homer, Morán had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Chesapeake Bay manager John Mayer. "Our pregame was pretty good."
