Oceanic Clip Swamp Dragons, 2-1, in R2 Contest
The Mokule'ia Oceanic got a strong game from starter Héctor Cortéz, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Oceanic took the 2-1 win over the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons in Game 2 of the Divisional in a 10th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Cortéz. Cortéz threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball in the win, which brought the Oceanic into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Mokule'ia got a knockout punch from Mark Sabin. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This game showed the grit and grind of our guys," said Cortéz.

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Swamp Dragons Ballpark in Osakasayama.
