Niigata Wins Championship
After their 9-7 win today at Grand Rapids Grounds over the Grand Rapids Rafters, the Niigata Gigans will advance to the Ambassador's Cup. Niigata won the series by a 4-1 margin.

Leading the way for the Gigans was shortstop David Kuhn, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Ambassador's Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship finishes.
