Hirose Blasts Oysters, Mohicans Take Game 6, 5-4
The Mansfield Mohicans and the Chesapeake Bay Oysters will take the Championship to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation at Sprinters Ballpark, the Mohicans beat the Oysters, 5-4, on a walk-off in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Mansfield right fielder Toshiro Hirose went 2-6 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3.

In the bottom of the 14th, Cal López delivered the big blow for Mansfield, stroking a game-winning run-scoring single off Chesapeake Bay pitcher Eppe Dirks.

"The crowd was juiced," said López.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sprinters Ballpark in Mansfield.
