Olthuis, Ewa Beach Start Wild Card Strong with Home Win
The Ewa Beach Imperialists started the Wild Card in style, downing the visiting Waikiki Coconuts at Rison Grounds by a score of 6-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Imperialists right fielder Falco Olthuis went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2.

Tadahisa Nakamura aided the Ewa Beach cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a double.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Olthuis, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rison Grounds in Ewa Beach.
