The Homer Wallbangers moved to within one game of the Divisional, downing the Anchorage Mighty Moose on the road at Citizens Ballpark by a score of 5-3. Wallbangers left-hander Kosaku Kikuchi had a strong outing. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Wallbangers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Wild Card.

Kikuchi was in the zone all game. He frustrated Anchorage hitters while giving the Wallbangers 6.1 innings of quality work. Kikuchi threw 89 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 12 punchouts.
