José Picaluga and the Chesapeake Bay Oysters opened the Divisional in brilliant fashion, traveling to Leeds and shutting out the host Locomotives at Rhino Park, 3-0, to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Picaluga, the Oysters right-hander, threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball.

Dave Davidson had a direct impact on the outcome. Davidson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Chesapeake Bay up, 2-0.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Davidson told the Chesapeake Bay Daily.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rhino Park in Leeds.
