The Akron Ambers nearly wasted a strong game from starter Anthony Craig, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the Mansfield Mohicans.

Craig threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The win allowed Akron to force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 Divisional.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Akron designated hitter Toshinobu Sasaki, facing Lloyd Willerton, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Ambers the 2-1 win.

"Anthony had good life on his pitches," said Akron manager Ramón Rodríguez.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 15th , 2042 at Sprinters Ballpark in Mansfield.
