Shmoes Advance to Championship
|
The Mexicali Shmoes bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a NAFTA Trophy championship.
Mexicali downed the Rosarito Monjas del Vuelo 4-3 tonight at Shmoes Stadium, to take the Divisional 4-1.
"It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Desmond Greenwood, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the North American Farm Team Affiliation."
For the series, Greenwood had 9 hits for .429, with a .455 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional finishes.
