When he got to Leeds, Dan O'Halloran was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Wild Card.

The 22-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the visiting Fayetteville Braggarts, 4-0, in a remarkable performance at Rhino Park. With the win, the Locomotives took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-5 Wild Card.

O'Halloran delivered a quality start for Leeds. The 6-foot-4 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 7 innings of work.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," O'Halloran said. "And the same is true when you lose."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Ballpark of Fayetteville in Fayetteville.
