Ambers Use Extras to Top El Dorados, Lead R1 2-1
The Akron Ambers went into extra innings against the Raleigh El Dorados but ultimately moved to within one game of the Divisional.

The Ambers downed the El Dorados at El Dorado Field by a score of 6-5. Even as his squad took the loss, Raleigh right-hander Zachary Walker threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Ambers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Wild Card.

Akron used the timely hitting of Sergio Blanco to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Ambers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Blanco.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at El Dorado Field in Raleigh.
