The Akron Ambers defeated the Raleigh El Dorados, 2-0, in Game 2 of the Wild Card. Doing his part was starter Norris Neaves, who threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Akron into a 1-1 tie with Raleigh in the series.

Neaves tossed 88 pitches over 6.2 innings to clinch the win for the Ambers. The left-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.

Neaves said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 7th , 2042 at El Dorado Field in Raleigh.
