San Luis Rio Colorado Wins Again, 2-1
|
The San Luis Rio Colorado Rapidos Blancos moved to within one game of the Divisional, downing the El Cajon Virus on the road at Ballpark of El Cajon by a score of 2-1. Rapidos Blancos right-hander Sean Martin had a strong outing. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The win gives the Rapidos Blancos a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Wild Card.
San Luis Rio Colorado used the hitting of Aurelio Archuleta to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rapidos Blancos on top, 2-0. For the game, Archuleta had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Bottom line," said El Cajon skipper Francisco Sousa, "we didn't play well enough to win."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 5th , 2042 at Ballpark of San Luis Río Colorado.
