The Marduk Nerv took down the Mexicali Shmoes by the score of 8-4 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Wild Card. The largest share of the credit belongs to Marduk starter Ye-qing Fan, who threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball.

Bob Graham chipped in a 2-run home run for Marduk in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Marduk manager Yakamochi Suitani told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
