Shmoes Fall, 8-2, to Lambert, Monjas del Vuelo

The Rosarito Monjas del Vuelo trumped the Mexicali Shmoes, 8-2, at Shmoes Stadium. Rosarito first baseman Noah Lambert was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Yasukazu Murata got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The first-place Monjas del Vuelo now have a win-loss record of 82-45.
In the first inning, Lambert had a 3-run home run for Rosarito. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Monjas del Vuelo on top, 3-0.
"I like our moxie," said Monjas del Vuelo manager Chad Collins.
