Ewa Beach got a big-time effort from pitcher Pedro Espinoza, but it wasn't enough to keep the Hilo Hoops from winning the game, 5-4. Espinoza threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The loss makes Ewa Beach 63-41.

Ricardo Flores drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Hilo. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ewan Quigley. It was his 7th walk of the season.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Flores.
