The Kauai Monsters welcomed the Lana'i City Pineapples to an night game at Dole Park.

Led by 21-year-old Flint Cannon, the Kauai Monsters knocked off the Lana'i City Pineapples, 7-2. Cannon hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Monsters. Tomás Blanco, the winner, goes to 11-4. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Mauro Hernández closed the door for Kauai, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Cannon hit a solo home run off Frank Comelay. It propelled the Monsters into the lead, 1-0.

"Flint raked," said Kauai manager Hugh Watson.
