The Mokule'ia Oceanic extended their winning streak.
Mokule'ia used a superb performance from starting pitcher Miguel Longoria to down the Hilo Hoops, 4-1. Chris Valentín locked down his 27th save.
Mokule'ia used a clutch at-bat from Orlando Silva to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Oceanic ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Mokule'ia manager Pedro Ferringo.
Their 64-35 record puts the Oceanic first in the Hawaiian League Aloha.
