Hanso Defeated, 5-3, After Osakasayama Rallies

The home crowd came to cheer on their first-place Osakasayama Swamp Dragons.
The Osakasayama Swamp Dragons beat the Kailua Hanso, 5-3, at Swamp Dragons Ballpark. Senichi Sakei starred for Osakasayama. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Osakasayama reliever Jesús Alonso, now 3-2. The loser was Dan Elmore. Picking up his 20th save was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Patrick McCabe.
Osakasayama took the lead, 5-3, on Walt Nelligan's 19th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Kailua pitcher Dan Elmore in the bottom of the eighth.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Nelligan.
Osakasayama improves to 58-43 with the win. They lead their division by 4½ games.
