Waimalu's Wesley Kessler was right on the mark at Halberds Ballpark in a sensational no-hitter against the Shirakawa Halberds, shutting them down, 7-0.

Kessler chalked up 6 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks in a game that was instantly one of the highlights of the season. The brash right-hander, who is known for a confidence that sometimes borders on arrogance, told reporters afterward that he "was the best pitcher in the league today."

Waimalu skipper Miguel García said in his postgame interview that Kessler "tossed a masterpiece."

"Wesley likes to talk but it ain't bragging if you can back it up," he said. "Today he certainly did just that."
